Terms of Service
Counselling with The Real Room is a collaborative process that offers a safe and supportive space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. While counselling can be helpful, outcomes cannot be guaranteed, and each person’s experience will be different. Individual sessions are $100 and couples sessions are $150, with sessions lasting approximately 50–60 minutes and typically held online unless otherwise arranged. Payment is required prior to or at the time of your appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice, as late cancellations or missed appointments may be charged the full fee.
Your privacy and confidentiality are respected, and information shared in sessions is kept confidential except where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or where disclosure is required by law; where possible, this will be discussed with you. Online sessions are conducted using secure platforms, however there are inherent risks with online communication, and you are responsible for ensuring you are in a private and safe space during sessions. You remain responsible for your own wellbeing and decisions throughout the counselling process, and if you require urgent or crisis support, it is important to contact emergency services or a crisis support line. Hannah Wilkes is a member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) and works in accordance with their Code of Ethics, including ongoing supervision and professional development.
The Real Room may update services, fees, or these terms from time to time.
